You’re probably reading this because you are either a direct descendant of Peter or of one of his siblings.

Franz Xaver, Peter’s older brother, came over in 1862. Shortly thereafter, he settled in Yankton.

Two years later, Peter and Theresia sailed to America with their son, Frank. Except for Michael, Johann and Josef, all of Peter’s siblings immigrated to America. Unlike her husband, Theresia would never see her family or Germany again.

In addition to Frank, Peter and Theresia would go on to have 13 children – with a 25 year age difference between Frank and his youngest sibling, Louise. Theresia and Peter would lose three of their daughters, including Louise, during their lifetime.

Joseph E. Huber, grandfather of Joe and Dan, was born in McGregor, Iowa in 1867. Joseph married Emma Rothmeyer in 1893. Four years later, his younger brother, Charles married Bertha, Emma’s little sister.
